DCEU: 10 Things We Learned From 4Chan's Latest DC Movies "Leak"

Here's how the DCEU is shaping up. Allegedly.

With Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad now out of the way and the wheels firmly in motion on Wonder Woman, Justice League and The Flash (and the distant sound of action on Ben Affleck's The Batman), the DCEU is at a very interesting point. The results so far have been... mixed, at best, but if Warner Bros are serious about the Extended Universe's longevity no matter what, they need to make more moves to cementing a picture of their slate of future movies.

That means casting news, director hires and announcements of further movies to actually get this universe Expanded. Luckily, if one 4Chan leak is to be believed, we're right on the cusp of one such announcement.

Now, let's be honest - negotiating the boards of 4Chan is a minefield of epic proportions. You never quite know what you're going to find. But there have been legitimate leaks there in the past, and DC fans will inevitably welcome any positive rumours with gusto.

Obviously, you have to take these things with pretty much the entire shaker of salt, but you never know who is behind these leaks. Plus, one of the snippets of information claims Warner Bros and DC will make announcements in early September, including casting updates - so at least there won't be too long before they're confirmed/debunked.

So what did we learn?

The Rumour

Here's how the DCEU film slate looks between the start of 2017 and the end of 2020...

Wonder Woman - June 2nd, 2017, Justice League - November 17th, 2017, The Flash - April 13th, 2018, Aquaman - July 27th, 2018, Man of Steel 2 - October 5th, 2018, Shazam - April 5th, 2019, Batman - June 14th, 2019, Suicide Squad 2 - November 1st, 2019, New Gods - April 3rd, 2020, Green Lantern Corps - July 24th, 2020, Justice League II - October 2nd, 2020.

Response

Well, the big discrepancy here is obviously the lack of even a tentative date for Cyborg, which is still softly in development according to the producers. It seems more likely that they're looking at testing out the character in Justice League and The Flash.

But then perhaps they're leaving it off there because the future of that character is far from set? Other than that, almost all of the other films are completely believable (though I'd be shocked if Shazam comes out before The Batman, given the difference in the stages of scripting of those two). Stranger things have happened though.
