DEADPOOL spin-off announced, yes I saw the news!

I've had a few people comment as to why I haven't spoken about the Deadpool spin-off announced by 20th Century Fox earlier in the week, after X-Men Origins: Wolverine made enough money for the studio be happy to give it and Wolverine 2 the greenlight. Well I'll tell you why. Because I really couldn't care less. deadpool_wolverineRyan Reynolds and all the people involved with X-Men Origins: Wolverine killed any potential this character had and have damaged the X-Men universe so much, that I'm really not sure it will ever recover. It's such a sad state of affairs considering that the world was at the feet of this franchise after X2. Does anyone think that a spin-off to an awful spin-off is a good idea? Reynolds, who always wanted to play The Flash anyway for a different company, showed no charisma, no invention, no life as Deadpool, probably the worst performance I have ever seen him give. And let's be honest, he hardly has a CV of consistently stellar performances. It was the easiest money he has ever made and you just know he had this idea from day one that a big money sequel was on the horizon for him. I have no desire to see a Magneto spin-off, an X-Men Academy movie, a Wolverine 2 set in Japan or a Deadpool spin-0ff. The only time you see me animated and excited for this franchise again is if they make an X-Men 4, beginning where X-Men 3: The Last Stand left off, bringing back the core actors (McKellen, Stewart, Jackman, Grammer, Paquin, Romijn etc.) and in taking THIS SERIES FORWARD. It still has so many avenues it could still explore. And is it just me, or is the completely broken Wolverine at the end of The Last Stand not far more interesting than the tourist in Japan for the upcoming sequel?
