Diminished Capacity to be this year's Little Miss Sunshine?

matte.jpgMatthew Broderick, Virginia Madsen and Alan Alda have all signed up for the comedy movie Diminished Capacity. The small independent movie produced by Plum Pictures sounds like it could well be this year's attempt at the off-beat comedy that audiences and critics loved in Little Miss Sunshine.
Broderick will play the lead role, a man who suffers memory loss after getting hit on the head. He then takes a trip with his Alzheimer's-addled uncle (Alda) and his high school sweetheart (Madsen) to a memorabilia show as the group concocts a scheme to sell a rare baseball card.
Terry Kinney is directing the movie which is set to begin filming in Spring in both New York and Chicago. I liked Little Miss Sunshine quite a bit and although some of the awards acclaim the movie received might have been pushing it slightly.... I had a great time watching it. source - variety
