Leonardo DiCarpio is arguably the biggest movie star in the world. His movies make a ton of money. Men and woman of all ages are constantly drawn out of their homes and into the theatres to see what he's up to. And yet Django Unchained marks the first occassion in 16 years in which 'ol Leo doesn't get top billing. In fact, his name appears on screen after both Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz's. There's the proof, then, that Leonardo was really committed to this particular role, and didn't take it for the purposes of his ego, but because he really wanted to play Calvin Candie - notably, his first ever fully villainous role.
