Right so Oscars. Only in Hollywood can winning the highest acclaimed award in your chosen field actually be a bad thing for your career. I'm going to mention actors who are loved, that have been apart our lives since we can remember. From the kidnappings, the murders, the weight gains, the whole shaabang... Not forgetting of course actors who even Hayden Christensen could out act, but before I begin, I want to make this clear... Like Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, this doesn't mean some of these winners weren't great, it doesn't mean they still can't be great, this just means that they haven't been great for a long while.
5. Al Pacino
Don Michael Corleone,
John Milton,
Carlito 'Charlie' Brigante,
Big Boy Caprice - the list goes on. This is Al Pacino: The man, the actors actor, a guy who's voice feels like Zeus judging you from the heavens screaming 'DON'T F*** WITH ME' with his just eyes and nothing more; Coppola had to fight Paramount to keep him in the Godfather and to right too because he never looked back, but after Al hit his 50's S1m0ne happened, Two For the Money, Jack & Jill and (shudder) Gigli... I sympathize because it may be harsh considering his good to bad ratio but this is Al Pacino! WE as the film loving public demand better! The thought of Al Pacino working with Quentin Tarantino, Spielberg, Scorsese*... Why are these films not happening?! Fire someone Mr Pacino... With the John Gotti biopic '
Gotti' and (*smiley face) a muted
Scorsese/
De Niro/
Pesci movigasm '
Painting Houses Red' possibly in the works I hope Al literally punches me in the face with his born again brilliance.
Should He Quit? I hope not.
