Dodgeball 2: 5 Other Stiller, Vaughn & Ferrell Sequels We'd Like To See

Semi Pro Dodgeball

Dodgeball 2 and Anchorman: The Legend Continues are officially happening. Are you happy, Internet? Your wishes for an extended supply of in-jokes, memes, and things you say at appropriately inappropriate times have been answered. All kidding aside, it's probably better that it took this long for sequels to be made to these properties, as they have a better chance of not being cash in titles. There's a real chance for quality sequels with both of these films, which is an exciting possibility for comedy fans far and wide. But what about some of the other, slightly more forgotten comedy gems from the so called "Frat Pack"? And no, I'm not talking about Old School 2, because that ship sailed out the moment Todd Philips sold out with stakes in Project X and The Hangover Part II. (Part III has a lot of ground to cover if I'm to ever forgive it.) With that in mind, here are five films that not only deserve sequels but also could possibly showcase the complete Stiller/Vaughn/Ferrell trio (They practically cameo in all of each others films anyway, so let's just get it locked in stone now, so we can focus on more important things later)...

5. Wedding Crashers: Til' Beth Do Us Part

wedding crashersThe Pitch: "John (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy (Vaughn) are back! After Jeremy€™s wedding to Gloria (Isla Fisher) , Claire (Rachel McAdams) is itching to get married. This leaves John pressured and questioning whether he wants to be with Claire for the rest of his life or not. And then comes Beth (Anna Kendrick), a cousin of Jeremy€™s with a flame for Jeremy the size of a BP disaster. It€™s up to Jeremy, Claire, and Gloria to help remind Jeremy of what he€™s missing in terms of married life. Which means only one thing€a cross country crash tour! It won€™t be easy though, because if you thought Gloria was crazy, you ain€™t seen nothing Beth!" Why We Want It: Wedding Crashers felt like such an organic fit in every aspect of its being. The jokes were on fire, the romantic subplot didn't devolve into too many romantic comedy tropes, and the chemistry between the four principals was something you can't fake. However, while we want more of the same, we also want something new to feast our eyes on; hence the Beth plot-line. The addition of Kendrick, who's proven her comedic chops time and time again, only keeps the cast on its toes. Cameo Possibilities: Ferrell is a no-brainer here, as he could reprise the role of Chazz Reinhold, whom we last saw crashing funerals. However he's given that up since we've last left him, and taken up Baby Shower crashing. ("I gave up death for life...and boy the ladies are much better on this end. Let me tell you, mommies are always lookin' for a daddy, if you know what'm sayin'.")
