Drew Barrymore: 5 Awesome Performance And 5 That Sucked

4. Dylan Sanders - Charlie's Angel: Full Throttle (2003)

The original Charlie's Angels movie marked the arrival of infamous director McG, a filmmaker who has amassed a long list of critical duds over his career yet has somehow managed to continue getting work in the industry. While Charlie's Angels was certainly flawed, rather than ironing out the kinks for the sequel McG seemed to exacerbate them - this is hodge podge filmmaking with all the trappings of a music video and a complete lack of regard for narrative coherency. Movies are rarely this shamelessly shallow and devoid of meaning. It's not surprising that Drew Barrymore's performance is so all over the place, given the woeful source material. Finding meaning and purpose to a character in a McG film is a challenge that few can overcome, and unfortunately Barrymore was no exception.
