Empire's Deadpool Cover Shoves Its Way Through The Fourth Wall

Also: take a look at the Crimson Commando's Christmas list!

The 12 Days of Deadpool roll on as today we've been gifted with a tease of Empire's upcoming cover. It's hard to believe but Fox have gone full-throttle with what looks to be a fantastically faithful adaptation of Deadpool. All looks good so far, character-wise. The studio clearly believe they've got a lot of making-up to do after the travesty that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and you can bet dollars to donuts that they've taken note of the strong fan reaction to the film's impressive viral marketing campaign. Scroll down to check out the cover, which shows Deadpool in all his cheeky glory, and in addition to that a wonderfully funny Christmas list from the Merc with a Mouth. My favourite entry is probably "A new fourth wall for the bathroom (since mine is broken)". That sums up DP's sense of humour wonderfully, and the character's unique realisation that he is, in fact, a fictional character. General audiences who are unfamiliar with the character are certainly in for a treat when the movie hits in just two scant months' time. My hope is that it sees the box office earnings it deserves, so that we might have more outings with Ryan Reynolds in the most perfect role he's ever won. Especially considering how hard he and director Tim Miller fought to actually get this movie greenlit, let alone made.
Deadpool is released 4th February 2016 in the UK and 16th February in the US.
