Every Marvel Comic Book Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

50. Captain America (1990)

The First Avenger didn't have the best modern day announcement on the silver screen. Instead he was lumped into a Yugoslavian produced plotless atrocity that limped out of development hell and straight-to-TV, minus the hilarious sounding stolen Statue Of Liberty sub-plot it originally boasted.

It shouldn't really come as any surprise that it is the worst ever Marvel movie release: it's shoddily made, badly written and poorly cast, leaving Cap without any charisma, and it was made by exploitation film-maker Menahem Golan, which was just asking for trouble. He duly obliged by making Red Skull an Italian gangster...

Saying all that, the film did beat The Winter Soldier to the plot idea that an enemy super soldier could be used to remove political opponents like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., President John F. Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy in the 1960s. So the MCU does owe it.
