Every Super Bowl Trailer Released Ahead Of Time

The big game slots that were filled prematurely.

Several of the year's biggest movies are going to be promoted during tonight's Super Bowl, at the cost of $4.5 million dollars per 30-second unit. It's a great platform for a certain kind of movie, too - your Terminators, your Jurassic Worlds - though who knows what good a Super Bowl spot for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel will do. Some studios seem to be looking for even more hype by releasing these ads and trailers online ahead of the game. It's becoming the new normal, in fact. While we're only waiting on Tomorrowland, Jurassic World and Fast and Furious 7 to drop during the game - not buying into the Batman v Superman rumours, I'm afraid - we've already had Ted 2, Kingsman, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Insurgent and more. So here are all of the Super Bowl movie ads that were released ahead of time. I'm sure some social media consultancy will track the night's online buzz and tell us tomorrow whether the early publication strategy was a sound one. My hunch is that it won't have been, and that the dinosaurs and Vin Diesel will romp home with the most buzz, but we'll see.
