8. It's Going To Kick Off A Final Trilogy
Despite the fact that film franchises that run into double figures have usually jettisoned their A-list cast, cinema release slot and all of the actual watchability factor, we're apparently going to get 10 Fast & Furious movies.
The franchise has already been around long enough to warrant its own "spoof" - in the shape of the literally unwatchable Super Fast - so it could easily have bowed out. But after that box office super haul for number 7, stopping now was never on the cards.
Vin Diesel has all but confirmed that three more films are coming in a Facebook post:
"The fans of the Fast & Furious SAGA are the best fans in the world. Since I became the Producer in 2008, you have been with me every step of the way... literally giving me feedback that proved invaluable. Thank you... Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision... they have been like family... I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga."
