Fast & Furious 8 Wraps Filming, Trailer Coming In December

It's almost time to get Furious again. And Fast obviously.

The Rock's co-stars can breathe easy - filming has now almost officially wrapped on F Gary Gray's Fast 8 (or Fast & Furious 8 as it should be called, if we're all honest). The production team took to social media to herald the news with a heartfelt outpouring, thanking the cast and crew for their dedication to the project and the franchise as whole.

This marks the end - or at least the end of this chapter - of a strong social media marketing campaign that has ranged from regular photo updates through to the Fast Friday videos and The Rock's definitely not fake rant about his candy-ass co-stars. It's actually been a very clever model for Universal, who've channelled their social presence very well (and leapt up to 100 million social follows all told for the franchise). Other studios ought to take note.

The big news from the announcement is that the first trailer for Fast & Furious 8 will drop in December. So not all that long to wait, even if the slow down on updates until then might feel like a shock to fans who've avidly followed every update so far.
