First Clip From Jurassic World Is All Kinds Of Disappointing

The movie's gotta be better than this, right?

For the first clip from Jurassic World, Universal Pictures appear to have chosen the absolute worst bit of the film and something that's not at all representative of the rest. I mean, it's either that or Jurassic World is going to be a bit rubbish. This clip is made stodgy with forced exposition, and the conception of the characters is, at best, lazy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiXvt7lSPXU Joss Whedon was disappointed too, commenting on twitter about the clip's "70's era sexist" attitudes. That's not something that happens every day. https://twitter.com/josswhedon/status/586422567205912576 The kind of dialogue where characters spell out the plot and conflicts like that, while walking back and forth doing not much at all, or even just standing about uselessly, is the absolute opposite of cinema. Maybe the filmmakers were distracted by all of the zoom-pow dinosaur sequences. I expect a lot of audiences will be; it's not like the crappiest bits of the earlier films get anything like the criticism they deserve. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Johnson and more. Jurassic World is set for UK and US release on 12th June.
