First Look At Michael Keaton As McDonalds Maverick Ray Kroc

The Keatonaissance is in full effect.

Look up "career revival" in the dictionary and what do you find? Well, nothing, as two word terms aren't in there, but if they were you'd see a picture of Michael Keaton. After decades of kicking his heels in small budget under-the-radar faire, two leading roles in major Oscar picks have put his straight back at the top of the mountain. Things show no signs of slowing down either as his next project The Founder - the story on McDonalds maverick Ray Kroc - has revealed its first official image. Keaton plays the aforementioned Kroc, the man who bought the fast food chain way back in 1961 for $2.7million dollars and turned it into the worldwide McPhenomenon we know it as today. The film also stars Linda Cardellini, Nick Offerman, Patrick Wilson, and Star Wars' 8's very own Laura Dern. While it's far too early to be making any sort of Oscar prediction (but hey, I'm going to anyway), moving from best picture wins in 2015 and 2016 to a heartfelt biopic does have all the hallmarks of a man after his own Best Actor nods. After all, it worked for Fassbender in Steve Jobs and Redmayne in The Theory of Everything. The Founder is slated to release August 5th in the US. The UK is yet to receive an official release date.

Kristopher Cook hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
