Frozen 2: 8 Revelations From The First Trailer

7. The Floating Crystals

Frozen 2

The first shot immediately following the cut away from the Elsa intro is of Anna running outside to her balcony and seeing several dozens of these strange floating crystals. From the designs, it's pretty clear that this is set in Arendelle (Anna and Elsa's home) and Anna looks pretty surprised and even a little terrified by what she's seeing.

So what's the deal with these crystals?

Well, they're also featured in the just-released teaser poster for the film, being incorporated into the snowflake design. Josh Gad(https://twitter.com/joshgad/status/1095689910227329025) even took to Twitter to tell fans;

"If you look hard enough, this teaser poster will reveal quite a few surprises (like how pretty a snowflake is up close)."

Turns out that as fans have analyzed the image online a bit further that each of the four crystals in the poster contains a different symbol and that each of these seems to correlate to classical Norwegian imagery relating to the four seasons (winter, spring, summer, and fall).

Considering this, Elsa's winter-esque powers, and the prominent role that fall leaves play in the rest of the trailer, this shot of the crystals in Arendelle may see some very powerful forces arriving in Anna and Elsa's neck of the woods.
