3. It Wont Meet Expectations
Ghostbusters is one of the most popular cult franchises in the world. Like Star Trek and Star Wars, many of its fans are extremely devoted, spending thousands on replica proton packs and hours of their time building their own Ecto-1s. So after over 20 years of waiting for a third film, the expectations of many fans would be sky high. The Dark Knight Rises was highly anticipated and there was only a four year wait for it after The Dark Knight. The backlash from some people on how terrible that film was because it wasnt exactly how they wanted it just shows how difficult it is to please everyone. When Ghostbusters 3 is finally released, a lot of the most dedicated fans will be expecting the most amazing experience of their lives; a level of expectation that will be almost impossible to satisfy.
