5. The Greatest Showman Beats Coco For Best Original Song

With the Golden Globes' detractors calling it a glorified popularity contest, it shouldn't be that surprising that The Greatest Showman's song "This Is Me", by far the best-known of all the Best Original Song nominees, scooped the win over the effortlessly superior tune from Pixar's Coco, "Remember Me."

While Coco did at least win the Best Animated Feature award, considering how focal music is to the film's narrative and its emotional resonance, it's a damn shame it lost here to a catchy-yet-overproduced pop song.

With this award, business clearly triumphed over creativity and talent, as it unfortunately so often does at the Globes.
