Guardians Of The Galaxy: 10 Reasons Marvel Need It To Succeed

By far Marvel's riskiest project ever is nearly upon us.

This is largely due to the facts that very few people outside of the comic book fandom know who the characters in the movie are and it is so far removed from anything seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date €“ as a result, people might not be interested. The movie has a fantastic cast; Chris Pratt will be starring as the cocky space outlaw Star-Lord, Dave Bautista is the green and vengeful alien Drax the Destroyer, Zoe Saldana portrays the equally green and kick-ass Gamora, Bradley Cooper will be voicing Rocket Raccoon, Vin Diesel will be voicing Groot and there will be a supporting cast that includes Josh Brolin, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Benicio del Toro, Peter Serafinowicz and Emmett Scanlan (with Stan Lee cameoing as usual and a cameo from Nathan Fillion). Additionally, the movie looks great - the trailers show a humorous, action-packed epic with fantastic special effects but, given what we've already mentioned about it being kind of obscure, will people even want to watch it? Marvel will certainly be hoping that they do. This article will explain exactly why. Here are ten reason why Marvel need Guardians of the Galaxy to succeed...
