Guardians Of The Galaxy: 15 Obscure Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

14. John Stamos

When Peter Quill is talking about Earth - or "Terra" as it's known in the movie by most space inhabitants - he describes it to Drax the Destroyer as follows: "I come from a planet of outlaws... Billy the Kid, Bonnie and Clyde, John Stamos..." Everyone knows who Billy the Kid and Bonnie and Clyde are, but the John Stamos reference is somewhat more obscure. Quill left Earth in 1988 - one year in to the the broadcasting era of the hit U.S. sitcom "Full House". John Stamos was the actor who played Uncle Jesse - a rebellious young man who chased the ladies, obsessed over his hair and played the guitar like his idol Elvis Presley did. As a child, Quill obviously thought of this loveable rogue as an "outlaw" and, as such, another pop culture reference is born.
