Guardians Of The Galaxy Writer Penning The Pokemon Movie

If you're one of the hardier souls still braving the wilds to play Pokemon Go (and there are still millions, regardless of what the media says), you'll be hyped about the possibility of a Pokemon movie. If you've ever seen Super Mario Bros with Bob Hoskins, you'll be despondent at the idea.

But luckily for those in the latter party, it looks like the Pokemon movie is going in the right direction by hiring bona-fide talent behind the scenes. Variety are reporting that Guardians Of The Galaxy writer Nicole Perlman and Gravity Falls' Alex Hirsch are the team tasked with writing the script for the adaptation of Great Detective Pikachu.

They'll need all the luck they can get, frankly, but there's definitely a Pokemon movie franchise out there ready to be shaped. It just needs the right hands.
