Haggis script is nowhere near complete for Bond 22

Writer says he is only 45 pages through writing Bond latest's adventure.

James Bond movie might not be as far down the line as we previously thought, despite some sequences of the movie already being shot. Speaking last night on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Paul Haggis, the movie's screenwriter and director of the currently on limited release In the Valley of Elah, says he is up to page 45 on the movie's script, which when asked if he was at the half-way point he said 'oh no'. Of course with no script, casting is a little difficult which is probably why we haven't heard too much on that front as this point. We are still a few months away from filming really begins so Haggis has time but just how long is this script going to be? Casino Royale was 20 minutes too long... actually scrap that... it was 20 minutes too long for a story that didn't warrant it. Long movies are fine as long as they have a purpose to be long, and if Haggis is not half way through his script at 45 pages (around 45 minutes) then we should be looking easily at a 2 hour plus movie here. Haggis is now on his way to Italy to complete his script. Still no word on the title. source - commander bond
