Henry Cavill vs Brandon Routh: Who Was The Better Superman?

Which Superman Made Us Laugh?

Man Of Steel2 From the late and great Superman of the 70s, Christopher Reeve brought just the right touch of charm, smouldering good looks and romance to the silver screen. But there€™s one aspect he embodied completely for Clark Kent and Superman: humour. From the moment he caught the bullet in Superman: The Movie with a sideways smile, to when he split himself in two at a dinner party in Superman IV: The Quest For Peace, he always knew how to play the audience. So, was it Routh that made us split our sides or Cavill this time around? Superman nearly met his doom in Returns, but Routh managed to save some of the laughs with his portrayal of Clark Kent. Under Singer€™s direction, Routh took on the role as Reeve playing Superman, playing Clark Kent. Although he wasn€™t quite the bumbling fool, there were still moments where he managed to give us the odd smirk €“ particularly where he€™s chewing a sandwich, breaks a picture frame, and says €˜swell€™ with a nod to Reeve. We€™ll forgive him for being moody the rest of the time, just because, you know, he€™s Superman. returns superman Man of Steel wasn€™t the laugh out loud movie most of the Dick Donner fans were expecting. But it wasn€™t as gloomy as Returns either. There were moments where Cavill really took the spotlight though; his flight disaster, asking the military and Lois to €œstand back a bit€, and then €œa bit further€, so he could take off at the speed of light, and that precious moment with Zod mid-fight when he forcefully tells him not to mess with his mother. Winner - Henry Cavill - For humour, Cavill takes a knock-out victory.
