Hitman's mission is delayed till November

136.jpg20th Century Fox have pushed back the release date of their Hitman movie from October 19th to November 21st but haven't disclosed any reasoning behind the decision. Is it because the movie sucks as bad it looks and they want more time to tweak it? Are they not happy about the marketing or the hype for the film? Are they scared that opening against 30 Days of Night, Reservation Road, Rendition and Gone Baby Gone was simply too much competition. Probably the latter I think. 30 Days of Night would be aimed at much of the same audience and the other serious movies all have big stars and big dramatic plots which will be able to find their audience no problem. It makes sense to move it from their and Hitman will now be opening against Enchanted, The Mist, the Boy Dylan biopic I'm Not There (on a limited release) and August Rush. Far less competition now and it certainly seems like a wise move. No word yet on whether the U.K.'s release date has been pushed back too but if it isn't, then this was clearly a tactical decision rather than a forced one. Speaking of release dates, adaptation of The Spirit will open on January 16th 2007, a good couple of months sooner than we probably expected. source - coming soon
