Hughes Brothers helming The Book of Eli

albert_hughes10.jpgThe Hughes Brothers will make their first feature film for six years with the post-apocalyptic drama The Book of Eli. Their last feature film was From Hell in 2001.
Scripted by Gary Whitta, the drama revolves around a lone hero who fights his way across the wasteland of post-apocalyptic America. He's the protector of a sacred book that may hold the key to saving humanity.
The movie is being produced by Joel Silver, with the hunt on for a lead actor. It's expected that this movie will be shot before The Hughes Brothers adaptation of Phillip Carlo's novel The Ice Man: Confessions of a Serial Killer which the duo are attached too. More post-apoclayptic fun then to look forward too in our movies. Although From Hell had it's problems, you can't deny the look of the film was nice. Most of the problems I had with it were from a scripting point of view, so I won't rule these guys out yet.
