I could have been a contender!
Not Defteri (which is a blog, I think) have got a list and Youtube video for each to what they believe are the Top 10 Greatest Film Speeches and Monologues of film history. They rank Robert Duvall's speech in Apocalypse Now as being the greatest and also have (quite rightly) mentioned Jack Nicholson's "You Can't Handle the Truth" from A Few Good Men, Samuel L. Jackson's biblical speech from Pulp Fiction and Mel Gibson's "freedom" rant in Braveheart. You can see the full list and videos by clicking here, but below is my personal favourite from the bunch. The awesome Marlon Brando and his emotional monologue from On the Waterfront. Can you think of any they might have missed? I always liked Frank Langella's "God" speech in Masters of the Universe but I fear I might have been the only one! source - not defeteri, imdb
