We’ve seen this footage for Iron Man before, it’s the one shown at the Comic Con but it’s real nice to see it in Quicktime quality.
I really like this trailer. Robert Downey Jr. owns Iron Man like we all knew he would and I guess in the one brief appearance, Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t look too out of place as a red head. The flying Iron Man is still the coolest thing I’ve seen in movie trailers all year and the suit is 100% spot on awesome.
The only negatives for me is that the music they use is absolutely terrible. I know they are trying to go for the rock hard and bad ass music to go with this bad ass character but it just feels a little lame and out of synch to me. And that awful Iron Man name announcement right at the end made me laugh at how dumb it was.
Still it’s a good trailer and there is an awful lot to like about. 2008 and especially May will be a packed month, but this has the potential of being the stealer.

Never real got Iron Man, of the Marvel comics I like X Men, Spiderman and have had a bit of a soft spot for the Hulk too. Iron Man for me has always been part of the B team of Marvel comics with Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Blade etc. Marvel do seem more active then DC in getting their characters out there on film. There is going to be a time when the comic book bubble will pop however and then maybe we will got some good films in the summer again!! ( Batman Begins, the first two Spidermans and X Men films the noble expections)

completely agre with you on how kickass this trailer is, but are you being sarcastic with your quote about the rock music? I thought everybody knows the rock track you hear is actually called Iron Man, by Black Sabbath, 1970, and the ‘I am Iron Man’-announcement is also from that song – it is a bit tongue in cheek the way they used it but I think that way it perfectly blends in with the style and feel of the absolutely awesome trailer, I think this is gonna be Downey’s coolest role since ‘Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang’ if you ask me!
