Is Marvel's Stand-Alone Spidey Film Called Spider-Man: Homecoming?

How on the nose do they want to be?

Thanks to a registered URL and the BBC, we might now know what the stand-alone Spider-Man movie coming in 2017 could be called.

If Sony's online activities are to be believed, the stand-alone will come with a familiar name. Marvel fans will be aware that Spider-Man: Homecoming (as indicated by the catchy URL SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com) is an existing Spider-Man comics arc (and an exciting one at that), which suggests several things about the movie.

Firstly, both Captain America and Iron Man both appear, making cameos from Chris Evans (assuming he survives) and Robert Downey Jr very likely. Both admitted on the publicity circuit for Avengers: Age Of Ultron that they were set to film together in Atlanta, which is the location for Spidey's shoot, so that would make sense.

Homecoming also marked the first appearance of the Venom symbiote suit in the wake of Secret Wars in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man, which will presumably make fans go wild with lust for the iconic villain. His appearance is unlikely (as is the cool black suit), but the timeline does suit, as the issue was a post-flashpoint story dealing with the fall-out of a major superherp world uniting event (just like Civil War).

Should we be reading anything into the specifics of that comic though?

Aside from the comic title, the Homecoming element clearly has other implications: this is, of course, Spider-Man's homecoming to Marvel (any excuse to big up the brand), plus we're being led to believe that the film will be set in high-school and have a distinctly John Hughes-like tone. So an actual homecoming might not be out of the question.

If it's a major narrative element, though, that will be disastrous.
