Is Toby Kebbell King Kong In Skull Island?

Might he be the reboot's Kong?

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes aside, Toby Kebbell has a rough history with Hollywood blockbusters. Recently the actor added Fantastic Four to a list of flops that includes Wrath of the Titans and Prince of Persia, although he ranks among the few positive facets those misfires possess. Still, they haven't deterred him from rolling the big-budget dice, as he's in negotiations for Kong: Skull Island. Kebbell's part isn't confirmed yet, but given that he did such a fabulous job as simian villain Koba in the aforementioned Apes sequel, could he perhaps be lending his mo-cap chops to a new incarnation of Kong? Andy Serkis was magnificent in Peter Jackson's 2005 remake, so the bar's set pretty high for Kong: Skull Island. Kebbell though, may have enough familiarity, prior research and talent to pull it off.

Monkey or not, he's joining a very talented cast. Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Wilkinson are already in the mix, with Kings of Summer director Jordan Vogt-Roberts calling the shots. It also emerged this week that the screenplay's getting a touch-up courtesy of Jurassic World scribe Derek Connolly. Hey, maybe Kebbell's playing a T-Rex? The mist clears on Kong:Skull Island 10th March 2017, so we have plenty of time to get our answers.
