Isla Fisher Boards Baz Luhrmann's THE GREAT GATSBY

Actress in talks to portray Myrtle in Warner Bros' 3D adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's literary classic.

Isla Fisher is in talks to join Baz Luhrmann's 3D adaptation of The Great Gatsby at Warner Bros, according to The Hollywood Reporter. If talks go well she would play Myrtle, a married woman having an affair with the wealthy Tom Buchanan (a role Ben Affleck turned down this week) Fisher joins the already cast Leonardo DiCaprio (as Jay Gatsby), Tobey Maguire (Nick Carraway) and Carey Mulligan (Daisy Buchanan). F. Scott€™s Fitzgerald€™s classic 20€s set, American Dream deconstruction novel has been adapted by Luhrmann with his regular co-scribe Craig Pearce (Romeo & Juliet, Moulin Rouge). Filming is said to begin late summer.
