Jack Nicholson Quietly Retires From Acting

Jack NicholsonScreen Crush are reporting that the 3-time Oscar-winning actor Jack Nicholson has quietly retired from acting. The 76-year-old Hollywood veteran has reportedly been suffering from memory loss and has no further plans to continue acting in movies. According to the source;
"Nicholson has "memory issues" and while many might jump to the conclusion that the actor is in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's, there is no indication he is suffering from any particular disease.
Nicholson's last acting role to date was a supporting turn in James L. Brook's 2010 drama How Do You Know, where he played the father to Paul Rudd's character. His career is a series of iconic roles after iconic roles with everything from Jack Torrance in Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of Stephen King's novel The Shining (1980) to The Joker, in Tim Burton's Batman (1989), under his belt. He has total of 12 nominations (8 for Best Actor and 4 for Best Supporting Actor) and is one is of the most decorated actor in history, receiving an Oscar nomination every decade from the 60s through the 2000s. Recently, Nicholson declined the starring role in Nebraska, directed by About Schmidt's Alexander Payne. Since then, he has been enjoying quiet retirement at his home in Los Angeles far removed from the silver screen. He now joins fellow retired Hollywood legends Gene Hackman and Sean Connery as they fade away into the background of Hollywood. A true cinema titan will apparently never act on the big screen again, and that folks is sad news. Let us know what you think about this in the comments below.
