James Wan Classily Sinks Aquaman Rumours

So much for that trepidation...

Despite the rumours attributed to Birth Movies Death that James Wan might be on the verge of following Seth Grahame-Smith out of his DC Universe film, it seems he's still committed.

Wan took to Twitter after being "buried in a foxhole" for the last two weeks working on The Conjuring 2 to post a silent response to the stories that he was considering his future with Aquaman.

It might not be the most verbose confirmation, but the picture says a hell of a lot.

Wan had been bundled up in Faraci's report of potential friction between Zack Snyder and Warner Bros and whispers of "creative differences" on the back of Batman v Superman's well-publicised critical issues, and other sites seemed to interpret what he said as suggestion Wan was on the verge. To be fair, it's not hard to see why, given the vocabulary used of "trepidation" and talk of Wan not needing Aquaman. A picture was painted.

But if his post is to be believed as firm debunking of that, then the situation might not be as unworkable as previously assumed.

Wan also urged fans not to shoot the messenger...

Somewhat inevitably, Faraci is blaming interpretation, saying he never actually said Wan might be leaving. Read what you like into his original story, but it's clear what the underlying message is...
