Jason Lee has signed on to star and produce the comedy movie
Krater. He will be playing the lead member of a late 70's/early 80's rock band who become massively popular when they hire a new lead singer who dreams of broadway. The title of the movie refers to the name of the band. The movie will see Lee team-up with producer Scott Martin, who together worked on the Cameron Crowe movie
Almost Famous, in which Lee also played a 70's rock star (and quite succesfully I might add). Out of all the guys in that movie, he was the one that I could really believe as a rocker. Filming is tentatively scheduled for May when Lee will be on a break from his tv show
