Jay Hernandez's Suicide Squad Role Is Reportedly Chato Santana, El Diablo

Just this morning we learned that Jay Hernandez has a small, but instrumental role in the upcoming DC Comics movie Suicide Squad. On the casting info I had seen there was no character name, but a precise specification that the character is latino. Now filling in the blanks is Umberto Gonzalez, aka Latino Review's El Mayimbe, who is reporting as a rumour that Hernandez will be playing Chato Santana, or El Diablo. https://instagram.com/p/zTBB3njpmv/ In the comics, Santana is eventually recruited into The Suicide Squad, so his inclusion in this film might be set-up for a sequel. Congratulations to Hernandez if that is true. It's a fun role anyway, being a larger than life prison bad-guy type. He's likely to have a long time in the makeup chair getting fake tattoos painted on, and that's a bit less exciting but, really, I can think of worse jobs. If he has his comic book powers, El Diablo will be able start fires, and is impervious to flame.
