Justice League: 11 Final Concerns

11. The 2-Hour Runtime

Ironically, though many were initially concerned that Justice League would follow the typical comic book movie convention of running at least 2.5 hours, it's since transpired that the superhero epic has gone the other way, and will clock in at almost exactly two hours.

Though it's encouraging that the film won't be excessively overlong, there's now the concern that Justice League's going to feel rushed and underdeveloped, especially in terms of assembling the team of superheroes and adequately developing new mainstays such as Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg.

Given that the film's going to likely have end credits running 10-15 minutes, fans are only going to get around 105 minutes of these heroes banding up.

Some of the early social media reviews did note that the film feels a little too fleet-footed for its own good, so perhaps adding another 10 minutes or so to its runtime might've made it feel less frantic.

In addition, the runtime was apparently at the demand of Warner Bros. executives, presumably to maximise the number of screenings the movie can have per day, which isn't the best creative philosophy.
