Justice League: Every Character Ranked From Worst To Best

The League, their friends and enemies.

Justice League is finally out in cinemas now, and even though it only clocks in at a lean two hours, Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon have still crammed a huge number of characters into their superhero extravaganza.

Everyone had their favourites going in, but how did the characters actually fare in the final movie? Was Cyborg a pleasant surprise? Has Superman been "fixed"? And were there any characters who pulled a Korg in Thor: Ragnarok, by stealing the show completely out of nowhere?

It's fair to say that the film's big bad has already proven divisive with fans and critics alike, while many supporting players also suffer through evidently trimmed screen time, but when it comes to the focal heroes, more often than not Snyder and Whedon have created a fun group dynamic ripe for future movies.

Not every hero hits their markers and even the better portrayals can use some work, but generally there are tantalising seeds sewn here for the next few years of DCEU adventures...

Coming flatly and decisively in last place is Justice League's CGI-infested big bad, Steppenwolf. Introduced with little fanfare and failing to make himself much of a convincing threat, Warner Bros. apparently learned nothing from Batman v Superman's grotesque digital creation Doomsday, instead doubling down on it here.

Poor Ciaran Hinds tries his hardest to make the character menacing and bada**, but the CGI has little weight to it and he basically ends up feeling more like a video game boss than a tangible enemy for the League.

At least the DCEU will be hard-pressed to find a worse villain in the future. Darkseid has to be better, right?
