Just when you thought it was safe to assume that Warner Bros probably just wanted Justice League out of the way to start afresh in a post-Zack Snyder world, he goes and pulls some brilliant footage out of his hat.

The director appeared at Comic Con to unveil the first trailer, unveiling first looks at The Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman in Justice League footage. And by God it looks great.

It's time to get back on the hype train, both DC and Marvel fans alike. Because this genuinely looks very special, with both The Flash and Aquaman stealing the show.

Here's everything we learned from the Comic Con teaser. First off, a reminder for every studio complaining about leaks from Hall H that THIS is how you do it...

The people "harbouring him" after he's arrived on the King Tide don't look entirely keen on giving him up to Bruce Wayne, who speaks in voice over...

Aquaman Old man
Warner Bros.

If anything, they look positively hostile.

Bruce actually looks like he's lost a bit of weight, and the facial hair implies he's been on this mission to find his new warrior team-mates relentlessly...
