Justice League: The Snyder Cut - 10 Coolest Details We Know So Far

It's been two years and two months since Zack Snyder's Justice League was released in cinemas, and in that time, it's become clear that the theatrical cut - the version that everybody saw - was not the vision he originally wanted to execute.

The director was forced to exit the project in May 2017 after a family tragedy, leaving Joss Whedon to see out the remaining few months of production. Because Snyder didn't have full control over the movie there were a lot of things he wasn't able to do, and some of his ideas have started to leak out over the last couple of years.

Now, the full Snyder Cut of Justice League doesn't technically exist, because it's not like there's an edited, scored, and visual effects-complete product just lying around somewhere - it will still need work to get it up to a releasable standard.

But whether it's flashbacks to a young Darkseid or a badass Wonder Woman finishing move, there's tons to get excited about here on the off chance that the Snyder Cut ever sees the light of day.

10. It's Over Three Hours Long

Zack Snyder isn't known for his cinematic brevity, and his trend of having long movies is something he continued with his Justice League cut.

Last December, the director shared an image of some film canisters - which were labelled "JL Directors Cut" - on his Vero page, and the listed running time read 214 minutes (3 hours and 34 minutes) long.

That's not even the longest cut Snyder has ever had, either. Shortly after he shared that running time image, the filmmaker took to Twitter and stated that his assembly cut (an unfinished version of the movie that is basically every bit of footage lumped together) was closer to five hours in length.

Considering that a brutally-tight runtime was one of the biggest issues with Justice League's theatrical cut (you could feel the movie trying to breath), more time would have been welcome. But Snyder has been known to indulge, so 3.5 hours was probably too far in the opposite direction.
