Kevin Feige Says CAPTAIN AMERICA & THOR Sequels Planned

Black Widow, Hawkeye, Dr. Strange & S.H.I.E.L.D. movies still in consideration.

Doing the press rounds for the impending release of Thor, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has revealed that sequels to that movie and Captain America are planned post 2012's The Avengers;
"Thor will go off into a new adventure... and Captain America will continue to explore the modern world in another film of his own. We hope that holds true for the characters appearing in that film €” Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the spy organization, S.H.I.E.L.D. €” all of whom are more than worthy and capable of carrying their own films. And, we've got a lot of other characters we're prepping and getting ready for film debuts: the world of martial arts, these great cosmic space fantasies, Dr. Strange, and the magic side of the Marvel Universe. There are many, many stories to be mined."
So from the sounds of things, the World War II set Captain America: The First Avenger will be the only period war movie involving Steve Rogers, at least for the near future at least. Thor will open April 27th (U.K.) and May 6th (U.S.) with Captain America following July 22nd (U.K.) and July 29th (U.S.) with The Avengers coming next May. Iron Man 3 is set for May 2013, though it's unclear exactly if another Marvel release is coming that year or what will follow in 2014. sources - coming soon, IGN, D23 Magazine
