The film flips the expectation of new movies featuring special studio logos, Batman talks over the start of his movie, setting the early tone. And as he talks about DC, the unmistakable shape of the Nolanverse's logo appears in the background. 74. "The House That Batman Built"

As he riffs on the logos, Batman refers to DC Comica as "The House that Batman Built", which is pretty spot on since the company is named after Detective Comics, which introduced The Dark Knight.

But even smarter, the phrase recalls a 1967 Detective Comics issue called The House The Joker Built, whose story follows the Joker's jealousy at Batman's impressive merchandise sales. Yes, it's that weird, but then it was the 60s.

73. The Man In The Mirror Quote

The film opens with an inspirational quote, which is actually a line stolen from Michael Jackson's "Man In The Mirror", which basically explains Batman's entire arc:

"If you wanna make the world a better place/Take a look at yourself and then make a change."
