Mad Max Fury Road 6 Minute Sample To Play With Fast And Furious 7

Only in Odeon cinemas.

Mad Max Trailer In a shrewd bit of synergy, Warner Bros. have engaged Odeon cinemas across the UK to play an extended preview of Mad Max Fury Road with screenings of Fast and Furious 7. This is most likely the same reel that George Miller cut for Cinemacon, and if so, audiences are going to be in for a treat. The clip went down brilliantly. It makes sense to plug one wheel-spinning action film with another in this way, and as Fast and Furious 7 seems set to be an absolutely ridiculous smash hit this weekend, a lot of folk are going to be introduced to Fury Road this way. And Universal shouldn't sniff, because there's going to be some people - maybe not many, but some - who are now going to make the effort to see Fast and Furious 7 on the big screen. Of course, the big winners are Odeon who are being paid to advertise one of their own upcoming products to a paying audience. The perfect crime, really. Fast and Furious 7 opens on Friday April 3rd. Mad Max Fury Road now has a UK release date of May 14th, the same day as its Cannes premiere. Woo hoo!
