10. An Awesome Trailer Campaign
Sat in the theatre for the Dark Knight Rises, it wasnt only that which I was excited to see. The moment the Man of Steel trailer swelled to life, my eyes lit up and my heart lifted. I got the Russell Crowe as Jor -El version and it moved me deeply. It really seemed to get what Superman was all about. It wasnt until I arrived home and YouTubed the trailer that I realised that, just like a comic book with a variant cover, there were two version; the other voiced by Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent. Together, these two trailers paint a full picture of our Man of Steel; hes a powerful demi-god who makes the choice to be Earths saviour because of how he was raised. It doesnt really get much more inspiring than Superman's origin, and these two trailers seem to fully understand that. I can totally see why fans cried at its unveiling.
