6. An Unbeatable Likeness?
It was obvious from the moment we found out he’d been cast that Henry Cavill looks sort of like Superman. But after seeing the trailer, I’m now convinced that Henry Cavill looks exactly like Superman. And not just any version of the character either, but Superman as painted by the mighty Alex Ross. Take a look:
Ross’ Superman tends to be painted as more mature of course but still, Cavill has the build, he’s got the hair and he’s got the jawline. Other than a young Christopher Reeve I don’t think any actor could fit more organically into the role of a modern Superman than the young British talent.
With casting nailed so effortlessly, at least in terms of a face fit we’ll hopefully seeing the Superman franchise make a return to greatness after the god awful failed reboot that 2006 guffed out.

Sorry but that last shot was just cheesy. Flying with cloud at your feet isn’t cool.
It wasn’t cheesy. It was awesome…and this movie is going to be awesome!
He wasn’t flying with “clouds” at his feet he was flying so fast that he burst the sound barrier, literally a wave of sound pressure he’s breaking. Same thing happens with jet fighters, many a video that you educate yourself with.
Also I didnt find it cheesy, decent article aswell.
Peace!
Yes, because we see men fly all the time with and without clouds at their feet. You dumb monkey. It’s a movie, if you don’t like it, don’t watch, but I would bet my soul you will. So that makes you a hypocritical dumb monkey.
Reason no# 8: Producer Christopher Nolan – it has to be noted….obviously.
I thought the voice overs of the teasers were very donner-esque, it’s somewhat reassuring. I definitely second the Nolan comment. I will say I’m very concerned about Zimmer scoring. I don’t want Batman tones, nor do I want an easily confused fanfare. I want soaring and original where I don’t have to stop and go is that Gladiator?, no, backdraft? no, POC?, etc. I will say he did well with the first Kung Fu Panda. We’ll see in 2013 I guess. Besides, no matter what, there’s still Superman 1978. :)
