11. Matt Damon Has A Cameo - Thor: Ragnarok

The Rumour:

In the grand traditon of MCU cameos, Thor: Ragnarok has snagged a huge one in the shape of bona-fide Hollywood icon Matt Damon whose "secret role" was revealed by the Weekly Planet podcast:

There’s a scene set on Asgard, in which we watch an Asgardian theater production that essentially recounts the entirety of Thor 1, like as a play, and in this theater piece the role of Loki is played by an Asgardian actor played by Matt Damon.

Usually, that would sound very silly (especially as Damon would surely cost a lot) - but then you consider that Taika Waititi is the director and look back at his brand of humour and it makes a lot more sense. This actually sounds exactly like the kind of thing he would do, even if it's hard to fully commit to it.
