2. Thor: The Dark World
Not a whole lot is known about Thor 2 yet, beyond the vague synopsis released and some set pictures depicting a battle between the Asgardians and a clan of murderous Dark Elves. Nevertheless, here's a few well-informed predictions: Loki might actually redeem himself; otherwise he needs to have a reduced role in Thor 2 because he can't keep playing the villain - it would just be boring for a third film in a row. Rumour has it that Loki is the only one with access to the Dark World, where Thor wishes to go after the Dark Elves lay waste to Asgard; by helping Thor he can become a more sympathetic character. Odin will be killed during the Dark Elf siege on Asgard, giving the film its emotional thrust. Rumours also suggest Jane will be possessed by a Dark Spirit of some kind, which gives Thor a good chance to play hero and also cement his romantic relationship with her, something that was sorely, sorely lacking in the first Thor film. It's widely believed that Doctor Strange will make an appearance prior to The Avengers 2.
