Marvel’s Spider-Man: 8 Characters The New Movies Need To Introduce

Ol' Webhead has a rich supporting cast, so stop giving us Harry Osborn already.

There€™s not a great deal known about Marvel and Sony€™s reboot of the Spider-Man franchise. What is known is that it won€™t be an origin story, it€™ll see Tom Holland€™s Peter Parker struggling to juggle high school life and superheroics and it€™s going to save us from any more of Marc Webb€™s ironically titled €˜Amazing€™ films and all the spin-offs Sony were planning. Spider-Man himself will make an appearance in next year€™s Captain America: Civil War (as is fitting given the source material) before making his fully-fledged Marvel debut in 2017, where he will star in a John Hughes style high school film. For now though I can€™t help but wonder who will be appearing alongside him. Rumour has it that Adrian Toomes (The Vulture) and Mac Gargan (Scorpion) will be the big bads and that J. Jonah Jameson, the Daily Bugle€™s abrasive editor/resident pain in the tits, will be making his return to the Spider-verse courtesy of Hugh Laurie. A few other characters, such as Aunt May, high-school bully Flash Thompson and Peter€™s soulmate Mary Jane Watson are just about nailed on to appear in some way, shape or form but I reckon for the third stab at the Spider-Man franchise Marvel should look to bring in some fresh faces.
