MCU: When And Where You'll See Every Major Character Next

From Asgardians to Guardians, Avengers to Defenders, let's run down when we'll see them all again.

Marvel Studios

After a massive 2019, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently in the midst of laying low before Phase Four officially kicks off in May with the release of Black Widow. Over the next few years, the franchise will be releasing a number of films and debuting a handful of series on the DIsney+ platform, while the Marvel TV era as we've known it that began in 2013 with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will come to an end over the summer.

Aside from the fact that all of these upcoming projects will be introducing a whole new wave of heroes to the franchise, like the Eternals, Blade, Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and more, there are still dozens of heroes we've come to know over the last decade-plus whose stories are far from over. Many are guaranteed to have long futures ahead of them, while others - mainly the television characters - are at the mercy of what Marvel Studios decides to keep canon going forward.

With so much ahead of us, let's run down the current status of all the major heroes now that Phase Three is behind us to sort out when and where, if at all, you can expect to see them again in Phase Four and beyond, including a few whose deaths haven't stopped them from returning for some of the upcoming projects. Be warned, though, as spoilers may abound for the past, present, and future of the film and television side of the MCU...
