Meagan Good could play Storm in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, Taylor Lautner turns down movie?

Could recent scream queen Meagan Good (One Missed Call, Saw V, The Unborn) really be up for the role of Storm in X-Men: First Class? Producer Bryan Singer visited a Church in Hollywood yesterday where the only religious chatter was about our faith in superheroes, specifically of the mutant variety. Blastr report;

After the hour-long talk, Singer talked to us about the casting€”which he is in the middle of doing at the moment. Kevin Bacon is in; Taylor Lautner is out, for now; Meagan Good is uncertain.
And yet, in the rest of the article, there is no further mention of Good - and no direct quotes from Singer on the matter. So what do we make of this? Well Meagan Good as a younger Storm was an old rumour that pre-dates Matthew Vaughn's appointment as director, during the time when we figured they would be looking for actors aged between 25-30. Good will be 29 when filming begins in London next month, two years older than Benjamin Walker, 28, who was outed as X-student Beast because his age was too close to that of James McAvoy (31 - Prof X) and Michael Fassbender (33 - Magneto). They have since made it known they are on the look-out for actors 18-24. So we just think it's a case of bad reporting - the writer trying to pluck out a name who has been rumoured for the movie in the past to support his article. Either that, or Singer said something yesterday and it's an even worse case of bad reporting because the site doesn't go further to mention it. Although, interestingly, IMDB have quickly jumped onto the bandwagon and already listed; Speaking of rumours, one reported offer from a few weeks back has actually turned out to be true. Singer told the crowd yesterday that Twilighter Taylor Lautner was very much wanted for the film, but his scheduling meant he had to turn the movie down;
"I wanted Taylor to do it, I really did... He's doing a movie in Pittsburgh called Abduction and then he's got the next Twilight movie. We talked about it a lot, he is a friend, and I really wanted to make it work. It just doesn't look like it's possible to do it."
We figure Lautner might have been circling the Cyclops part (that eventually went to Aaron Johnson), but many of our peers say Angel - a role that is still uncast. Somewhat surprisingly, I wouldn't have had a problem with Lautner for this, as long as he was cast for the right reasons and not used as bait for the massive tweeny girl audience it would tap into. I actually quite like the guy and he has a contagious screen-charisma. Just sayin'.
