MGM planning The Hobbit & Terminator 4!!!

Studio also planning THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR 2 & THE PINK PANTHER 2!

The-Hobbit.jpgMGM have announced their plans for several film projects they plan to make over the next couple of years. They include..... The Hobbit (report says they want Jackson to direct but no talks have taken place as of yet) Terminator 4 (with or without Arnie) The Thomas Crown Affair Sequel (in talks with Brosnan) Pink Panther Sequel (already signed and in production) So, it looks like we may get to see The Hobbit after all. I doubt that MGM would have any trouble convincing Jackson to direct the picture as it's no secret he has wanted to do it for some time. The only reason he hasn't already is the problem with the rights of adapting the book into a film which a co-owned by MGM and New Line. For the project to happen both studio's need to work together, which looks like it may happen. It will be interesting to see what they do with the fourth installment of the Terminator franchise, especially if they can't get Arnie back. Who on earth would they cast? source - variety
