Monsters Inc 2 Becomes MONSTER'S UNIVERSITY

Monsters Inc 2, no longer. Though we kinda knew this was coming. At CinemaCon yesterday it was revealed that Pixar's second movie of 2012 after Brave (which we revealed yesterday) is now going by the title of Monster's University. As we were told in January, Monster's University will tell the story of how Mike and Scully first enrolled into The University of Fear and instantly disliked each other before eventually becoming great pals. John Goodman, Billy Crystal and Steve Buscemi (as Randall) will all return to voice their respective characters from the 2001 original. As a general rule I'm not a huge fan of prequels and I was kinda attached to the idea of a twenty years later set sequel that would find Boo grown up with a daughter, but I guess Pixar had some trouble in finding the right story after all the loose ends seemed firmly tied up in the last film. Monster's University, due in the winter of 2012, will be Pixar's first ever prequel. Who would bet against them making the greatest prequel of all time? Pushing boundaries and expectations is what Pixar do. Love Monster's Inc, can't wait for this.
