More mystery projects from J.J. Abrams

J.J. Abrams is acting all mysterious again. Variety report that Paramount Pictures have bought the rights to an untitled supernatural thriller that will be produced by Abrams' Bad Robot shingle and directed by Maria Full of Grace helmer Josh Marston. This is one of seven projects that Abrams has lined up with Paramount with a comedy, romantic-comedy, horror and a supernatural thriller said to the be the genre's they are covering. You can probably expect the first kind of teaser trailer for this with Cloverfield in January and then we shall once again be speculating on what kind of mysterious movie will come out of it. Gotta say, it's genius marketing. And hell we are getting some kind of weird MONSTER MOVIE invades NEW YORK picture in January, notoriously one of the quietest film months of the year (the other being February) which is superb and exciting stuff. I hope it's some kind of Godzilla flick or our answer to the Korean movies The Host and D-War. It's gotta be epic, it's gotta be scary and it's gotta be a full 90-minute thrill ride, with non-stop action. Least, that's what I'm hoping for.
